Timothy A. McDermott
Vice President

Mr. McDermott joined The Kellogg Organization in 2004 after 20 years of experience in advancement work and extensive capital campaign management at institutions of higher learning and medical centers. He is a recognized leader in large project management and in working with major donors and major gift development.

He has broad experience in all areas of advancement including campaign implementation and executive management, solicitation, and volunteer involvement. He earned his B.A. from Virginia Tech and his Master of Public Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University.

Andrew S. Davis
Senior Executive Consultant—Information Technology

Drew Davis, a technology executive since 1979, has been a Senior Executive Consultant with The Kellogg Organization since 1989. His career includes serving in sales, management and executive capacities with Tektronix, IBM, and InFocus, among others. He is currently Regional Sales Manager for Tripwire, the leading software supplier in the compliance/security market.


Bonnie P. Downing
Senior Executive Consultant

Bonnie P. Downing is one of the most respected and experienced fundraising professionals in the Rocky Mountain West. She has overseen six successful, major capital campaigns, ranging from $1.5mm to $35mm, for some of the region's most prestigious non-profit institutions. Her background includes senior management, strategic planning, board relations, financial and human resources management. She is recognized as a natural leader, and a strategic and analytical thinker.

Ms. Downing served as Vice President of Development at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science; Director of Development for the Colorado Historical Society; and Federal Programs Coordinator for Colorado Women's College, now The Women's College at the University of Denver.

Ms. Downing holds an MA in Political Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and a BA in Government, cum laude, Wheaton College, MA.


Mary K. Schaefer
Senior Executive Consultant

After 20 years of executive leadership and fundraising counsel in community non-profit arts, education, and health-care organizations, Mary Schaefer joined The Kellogg Organization in 1998. She provides vision, direction, and organizational and project management expertise to TKO clients, specializing in administration, volunteer management and major gift development.


Mitchel Sloan
Senior Executive Consultant

Mr. Sloan has been a development professional since 2002. His experience includes annual fund development, major gift solicitation, donor group management, volunteer management, and strategic planning.

Mr. Sloan is an active member and immediate past president of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Santa Barbara/Ventura Counties Chapter, and serves as the chair of the Steering Committee for the Ventura County Leadership Academy. He volunteers for multiple community organizations including Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County, National Alliance on Mental Illness Ventura County, Surfrider Foundation, Tournament of Roses, and USA Track and Field. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Southern California.


Elizabeth Taraski, PhD
Senior Executive Consultant

Elizabeth Taraski, PhD, is a distinguished professional in all areas of development including strategic planning, capital campaign planning, volunteer and board management and external relations. She has more than 20 years of advancement experience and has planned and implemented multiple successful major capital and endowment campaigns for several of the Commonwealth of Virginia's most prestigious institutions of higher education.
